KENNEBUNK, Maine is where this heartwarming story begins. Don Crisman, Gregory Eaton, and Tom Henschel, an exclusive trio of octogenarian fans, are the last remaining members of the "never missed a Super Bowl" club.
This year's Super Bowl, pitting the Seattle Seahawks against the New England Patriots, could be their final hurrah. Don, a lifelong Patriots fan, is excited for his team's record-setting 12th appearance, but he knows this journey might be his last.
"This will definitely be the final one," Don said, reflecting on their 60-year streak.
As they age, the challenges of travel and the increasing costs take their toll. Don, who turns 90 this year, and Tom, 84, both acknowledge that their mobility is decreasing, and the expensive trip is becoming harder to justify. Gregory, 86, plans to continue as long as he can, but even he has scaled back his dedication to the trip.
"We don't go for a week anymore; it's just three or four days now," Don explained, highlighting how the hype and pomp have given way to a more focused experience.

"It's a $10,000 trip now," he said. But for him, it's worth it to see his brothers, Don and Tom.
