Frazelle's Favorite Bike Gear of 2025: Editor's Choice Awards (2026)

BikeRumor Editor’s Choice 2025 – Frazelle’s Favorites and Reflections

Time flies when you're having fun, and it’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. As I reflect on 2025, I’m excited to share my favorite bike-related discoveries and personal highlights. But first, let’s dive into why this year felt like a whirlwind and what makes this roundup so special.

A Year in Review: The Challenge of Choosing Favorites

As the year draws to a close, I find myself juggling numerous commitments, including the daunting task of selecting the best bike products I’ve reviewed. This isn’t just about picking winners; it’s about revisiting 12 months of incredible experiences and innovations. With so many outstanding products, narrowing it down is no small feat. But fear not, I’ve risen to the challenge, and the results are in!

A Personal Touch: My Life Beyond Bikes

Before we get to the gear, let me share a bit about myself. Bikes have been my passion and profession for over 30 years. From my early days in the industry to now, my love for cycling and its community remains unwavering. My current fleet includes three mountain bikes, a gravel bike, an all-rounder, and three eBikes—yes, it’s a lot, but each serves a purpose!

However, life isn’t just about bikes. I’ve been married to my wonderful wife, Maria, for 25 years, and together we’ve raised six kids. Our family now includes two beautiful granddaughters, and they, along with Western movies, music, and sweets, fill my heart when bikes aren’t the focus.

A Health Scare and a Triumph

This year, I faced a significant challenge: a prostate cancer diagnosis. After completing radiation treatment in January, I’m proud to say I’m a survivor. Sharing this wasn’t easy, but it’s a testament to the importance of health and gratitude. While I wish cancer on no one, I’m thankful for the positive outcome and the chance to continue doing what I love.

Home Sweet Home: A Mountain Retreat

On a lighter note, my family and I recently moved to a cozy 70-year-old cottage in the mountains. It’s a dream come true, complete with a bicycle workshop. Though I still ride my favorite trails with friends, having this mountain sanctuary has been a game-changer.
