Disneyland's Napa Rose Reopens: A Review of the New Menu and Renovated Space (2026)

Get ready for a culinary adventure as Disneyland's most prestigious restaurant, Napa Rose, prepares to dazzle guests once again! But this time, it's not just a reopening; it's a rebirth.

A Grand Reopening:
Napa Rose, located within Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, is gearing up for its grand reopening after a lengthy renovation. This award-winning restaurant, known for its seasonal menu and impressive wine collection, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a reimagined dining experience.

A Sneak Peek:
We were fortunate to preview the renovated space and menu before the official reopening. Napa Rose has truly outdone itself, creating an unforgettable dining experience. From the latest Disney news, like Space Mountain ride closures and new Disney Visa Card launches, to hidden details on rides, Mickey Visit keeps you in the loop.

A Media Preview:
During a media preview hosted by Disney, we experienced the magic of Napa Rose's redesign and updated menu. The restaurant will officially reopen on February 6, 2026, under the guidance of Chef Andrew Sutton and Executive Chef Clint Chin.

Setting the Scene:
Nicholas Hockman, the hotel's general manager, shared a fascinating insight. Napa Rose is often a guest's first foray into fine dining, and the team aims to make it a welcoming and elegant experience without intimidation. The renovation, combined with the Cast Members' expertise, achieves this balance seamlessly.

A Warm Welcome:
I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and inviting atmosphere, having not visited Napa Rose in years. The redesigned space immediately impressed, promising a memorable evening. For those new to fine dining, Napa Rose offers a perfect introduction.

A Loyal Team:
Remarkably, 100% of the Cast Members returned after a nine-month closure, showcasing their dedication to this unique dining experience. Our server, Wendy, who has been with Napa Rose for 25 years, exemplified the team's warmth and expertise.

A Tour of the Renovated Space:
The restaurant's design draws inspiration from Northern Californian Arts and Crafts, with a nod to Napa Valley's colors and textures. The main dining room features a stunning chandelier, wooden columns, and a mural celebrating the region's vineyards. Warm woods, cork, stone, and leather create a cozy atmosphere, enhanced by wine barrel and vineyard-inspired architecture.

Chef's Counter:
For an exclusive experience, the Chef's Counter accommodates up to 18 guests with a view of the exhibition kitchen. The renovation expanded these counters, allowing guests to witness the culinary magic. Reservations are available online.

Bar and Lounge:
The renovated bar and lounge feature a new bar, cozy seating, and a fireplace. Alfresco dining is available on the outdoor patio. Guests can enjoy a separate menu with small plates, caviar, seafood, and charcuterie, perfectly paired with wines and cocktails.

Private Dining:
The private dining room, accommodating up to 16 guests, has been renovated to resemble a wine cellar. Guests can book this space directly with the restaurant.

Menu Highlights:
We sampled the new menu, including a seasonal prix fixe dining menu. The cocktails, inspired by California's history and agriculture, are crafted with in-house prepared ingredients. Napa Rose's wine program is renowned, with over 13,000 bottles from 1,500 labels, featuring rare selections.

Our Culinary Journey:
Our meal began with a Signature Mushroom Cappuccino, a savory and flavorful amuse-bouche. The first course, Sauteéd Seasonal Fish with lobster toast and lemon bubble, was a delightful surprise. The American Wagyu N.Y., our second course, was perfectly complemented by vegetables. The Sorpesine Pasta, with California Crab broth and Pacific Uni, was expertly paired with Chardonnay by our server, Wendy.

For entrées, the Sustainable Fish of the Day, a Swordfish dish, impressed even a non-fish lover. The Roasted Boneless Colorado Rack of Lamb was cooked to perfection. Dessert was a highlight—an Elevated and Reminiscent Valhrona Chocolate Bar with hazelnut praline, a fine dining twist on a candy bar.

Chef's Vision:
Chef Andrew Sutton expressed the personal significance of Napa Rose's reopening, emphasizing the thoughtful evolution of the restaurant while honoring its history. The menu and wine program reflect craftsmanship, seasonality, and international influences.

Final Thoughts:
Napa Rose offers an exceptional dining experience in a beautifully renovated space, perfect for special occasions or a luxurious treat. While it comes at a price, it's an experience worth considering for a memorable evening.
